Welcome to Hearts & bones. Jewellery with Soul. I collect, fashion and upcycle old jewellery. I import it from far off places, make new pieces from broken and vintage. I am fascinated by the cultural history and aesthetic importance of jewellery in society. Why do brides wear tiaras? Why do African women wear neck rings? Does wearing it make you more confident? more feminine? Or does it make you feel powerful and tribal?

The jewellery I sell ranges from colourful to arty, to quirky, modern, tribal, earthy and asymmetrical. Its never boring, and always unique. Some of the pieces are one offs. If you want something made, I am delighted to accept commissions. All my packaging is made from recycled card and paper.
